‘How To Be Dead’, the song which started on the edge of the live set, has become a firm fan favourite and has been chosen as the single to close Snow Patrol’s most successful year to date. The single will be released on 25th October through Fiction and will feature exclusive tracks as well as the new video. The CD and 7″ will both feature a new track ‘Breathing Fire’ as well as the CLA Mix of How To Be Dead. The Enhanced CD will also feature the How To Be Dead Video as well as the Reindeer Section track ‘You Are My Joy’ performed live at Somerset House this Summer. The tracklistings in full are:

The band have also announced that they will be releasing a DVD of their Somerset House show which took place in August. “Snow Patrol Live 2004 – Mums and Dads of the world be patient with your children”, will be released on November 29th and will feature the gig in its entirety, plus loads of extras. The first 6000 copies of the DVD will be available in a special limited edition case, once these have sold out it will revert back to the standard packaging. Full details of the tracklisting and the extras are still to be confirmed.
