Belle & Sebastian have announced that they will release a new album entitled “Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance’ early in 2015.
The band’s 9th studio album was recorded and mixed at Maze Studios in Atlanta, Georgia with producer Ben H. Allen III (Gnarls Barkley, Animal Collective). It will be released worldwide on Matador Records and will be available from January 19th in the world ex. North American. The US release will follow a day later.
Belle & Sebastian are currently on a short tour of US & Mexico, headlining RetailMeNot Stage at the two Austin City Limits Festivals on Friday October 3rd and Friday October 10th with two nights at LA’s Theater at The Ace (October 6th and 7th) in between. The trip ends with a Main Stage slot on Sunday 12th at Corona Capital, Mexico City and the band will then headline the Pitchfork Festival in Paris on October 31st. Two prestigious shows have also been announced for next year, one at New York’s Radio City Music Hall on June 10th and another hometown show at Glasgow’s Hydro Arena with the Scottish Festival Orchestra on May 22nd.
