The double A-side single entitled “Books” is to be released on Rough Trade Records on June 21st in the UK and Europe. Comprising ‘Dear Catastrophe Waitress’ album track “Wrapped Up In Books” a new 6-minute epic, “Your Cover’s Blown”, plus new tracks “Your Secrets” and “Cover (Version)”. It will be available on three formats:
– an enhanced CD single featuring “Your Cover’s Blown”, “Wrapped Up In Books”, “Your Secrets” and “Cover (Version)”, as well as the video for “Wrapped Up In Books” and a Books computer game.
– a DVD single containing “Your Cover’s Blown” (with cartoon gallery by Marc Baines), the video for “Wrapped Up In Books”, plus “Your Secrets” and “Cover (Version)”
– a 7″ single featuring “Your Cover’s Blown (edit)” and “Wrapped Up In Books”.
The video for “Wrapped Up In Books” was co-directed by Stuart and Blair Young, and stars Alex Klobouk (Germany’s reknowned Catastrophe Waitress) and Gisela Hans. You can vote to get the video up the NME/MTV2 charts by visiting www.mtv2europe.com
