Ahead of their three sold out shows in Sheffield, Manchester and Oxford this week Belle and Sebastian have released a brand new single, ‘Sister Buddha’.
The video for ‘Sister Buddha’ was directed by Stuart Murdoch and features Zindzi Hudson, Patrick Toner and the rest of the band:
The song is taken from the band’s soundtrack to the film ‘Days Of The Bagnold Summer‘, the direcorial debut of actor and comedian Simon Bird (The Inbetweeners/Friday Night Dinner). The soundtrack will be released by Matador Records on September 13th.
The album features eleven brand new Belle and Sebastian songs, as well as re-recorded versions of classics ‘Get Me Away From Here, I’m Dying’ and ‘I Know Where The Summer Goes’. You can stream the track and pre-order the album here.
