Music Week – Fold Your Hands Child, You Walk Like A Peasant
27th May 2000
Record Review

Belle & Sebastian seem to inspire loyalty and devotion from their fans, and it is easy to see why on the strength of this timeless collection of songs. The album ranges from the inspirationally upbeat to heartfelt melancholia, avoiding being an exercise in whimsy by its use of sweeping, uncluttered production. The Brit Award winners’ fourth album seems destined to repeat the success of their previous release The Boy With The Arab Strap, which reached number 12.
